WHO WE ARE
Over 25 years in business.
Santa Rosa Optometry was founded by Dr. Michael C. Shulkin, OD in 1990 after he spent 7 years working for several optometrist all around San Diego.
We are a traditional, family based practice focused on individual care with an easy going atmosphere and we try to have fun at work.
WHAT WE DO
I practice all phases of optometry including pediatric, contact lenses (soft, gas permeable, keratoconus, bifocal (both soft and gas permeable), toric, and most hard to fit modalities), eye disease treatment and management, pre-op and post-op surgical co-managment, dry eye disease and management, as well as general optometric eye care for all ages. (Glasses for everyday, occupational, and sports).
Eyezen
Between computers, tablets, and smartphones, we’re needing computer glasses more than ever before. All that screen time can be hard on your eyes and may cause digital eye strain. Eyezen™ enhanced single vision lenses provide sharper vision than ordinary single vision lenses and are available to everyone—whether you have a prescription or just want a pair of computer glasses.
Varilux
Varilux® progressive lenses provide sharp vision at every distance—even in dimly lit conditions—eliminating the blurriness and low-light issues of ordinary progressive lenses.
Vision changes as you age, but it shouldn’t get in the way of how you live, work, and play. Unlike bifocals or ordinary progressive lenses, only Varilux progressive lenses help you achieve the most natural vision possible.
We accept many forms of insurance at Santa Rosa Optometry, please call the office to confirm your coverage.
